Our mission is to connect people through the passion of tango. PGH Tango offers group tango classes, private lessons, weekly practices, milongas and other events.

As of March 2026, PGH Tango is proudly operating as a nonprofit organization. This exciting milestone allows us to focus even more on building an inclusive, vibrant, and sustainable tango community in Pittsburgh.

Join us this May for a focused 3-week Tango series designed for dancers at every level. Each class is thoughtfully structured to give you practical tools you can immediately bring to the social floor.

Come learn one of the most passionate dances of all time: Argentine Tango!
New beginner sessions start on the first Wednesday of every month.

BEGINNER CLASSES

CLASSES ARE FOR ADULTS OF ALL AGES.

In-person Progressive Beginner Monthly Session.

Tango is a won­der­ful way to social­ize and meet new peo­ple while get­ting your exer­cise and express­ing your­self through music. Classes focus on tango basics, includ­ing the tango walk, pos­ture, embrace and dance floor navigation.

Beginner Class on Sundays
Time: 3:00–4:00 PM
Fee: $60/4-week session, $75/5-week session ($15/class)

GROUP LESSONS

Learn tango in a fun, relaxed envi­ron­ment.

Our classes are for all ages.
